The skin is the largest organ of the human body and absorbs everything we put onto it. One famous author relates the skin as having 'little mouths' in the following quote: "The little mouths in the skin, through which the body breathes, become clogged, thus making it impossible to eliminate impurities through that channel." The skin is one of the channels of elimination, and if that channel is clogged or malfunctioning, it will place strain on other organs in the body. Therefore,we should be judicious in what we put on our skin ...
The skin also acts like a mirror .. and tells an intricate story of what is happening on the inside of our bodies too. My story began many years ago ...
When I was an adolescent teenager, I was desperate to find a solution to my embarrassing skin condition - acne vulgaris.. I visited numerous dermatologists and doctors ... and was medicated with various hormonal drugs, broad spectrum antibiotics & more! This went on for years ... but something I found quite astonishing in all those years of taking various pharmaceutical drugs, creams, lotions & pills, is that no one ever mentioned to me the importance of diet, lifestyle & skin care that is actually healthy for your skin?
So, ... I have been on a journey ... a journey that has taken me years ... years of trying to understand the human body better, trying to understand the perfect fuel designed for the inside of our bodies, & searching for skin care ingredients that help to provide health, nourishment, & restoration to damaged skin. Healthy, beautiful skin is a co-working of what we put inside of our bodies and on the outside of our skin.
The human body is a remarkable machine ... perfectly designed to have the ability to heal itself, ... mentally, physically, & emotionally ... if you give it the right conditions. Arukah is passionate about providing high quality, natural, organic, vegan skin care that also carries a gentle, heartwarming message that is much broader & wider than the surface area of your skin. It's a message of 'Finding Beauty Beyond Skin Deep' ...
What does the name Arukah mean?
Arukah is a Hebrew word which means: Health - Wholeness - Restoration ... a synergy of true beauty ... not only evident on the surface of the skin, but a beauty that is also found beyond skin deep. In the Hebrew,"Arukah" is a passive participle, which means, it is an ongoing process. It's not just something that we do on our part, but rather also something that is done for us! Therefore, Arukah is a process, a journey, and not something that happens overnight. Arukah occurs over a period of time ... for everything is made beautiful in its time.
"Behold,I will bring it health [arukah] and cure, and I will cure them, and reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth."
Jeremiah 33:6
